Recently, Jay has been busy holding concerts for his World Tour, and thus he has already missed many promotional events for ‘The Green Hornet’ in Hollywood. Yesterday, he finally joined the rest of the cast to head to Europe to promote. They will be there for approximately one week, and will visit countries such as Spain, Germany and England.
When the first trailer for Michel Gondry's The Green Hornet arrived on the scene the immediate reaction was largely disappointment. It was kind of a mess, really, a jumble of ideas and tones that didn't really seem to mesh together and Seth Rogen did not immediately inspire confidence in the lead.
And then reports began to circulate last week about the response from the first round of test screenings. Responses that were supposedly so strong that the producers were considering green lighting a sequel before the first had even released. That hasn't happened but it the story certainly made a bit of a statement.
So. Trailer number two. While still not hitting on all cylinders it is, at least, a notable improvement on the first. The fusion of action and comedy seems to fit much better and, wisely, much of the focus is placed on Kato. Kato was always the more interesting character in the duo and it appears that Jay Chou is going to do him justice.
