Lohan Party Time

First I would like to thank Lindsay Lohan for bringing sublime absurdity roaring back into the tabloid gossip scene. If you've not heard, she's suing E*trade because she's convinced a "milkaholic" baby named Lindsay used in a super bowl commercial is referring to her. She feels she's known 'round the world by her first name much the same way Madonna or Oprah are known and because she's more famous as a boozing party girl than her acting career, she's concluded E*trade must pay up for using her highly valuable image. Had Linds kept quiet about about it, no one would have noticed, but it's high time she be given a new nickname. Fire crotch has lost it's freshness, Milkaholic is MUCH better. Medium: Graphite on paper, digital color. Original sketch here.

Joyas de Gallery of the Absurd

A reader sent me THIS photo of Paris Hilton tongue kissing yet another unfortunate victim caught in her talons under the darkness of night. Upon first glance, it wasn't Paris Hilton I saw, it was the horse figure straight out of Picasso's Guernica. Her exaggerated outstretched tongue and the way her hands hold the man in some sort of death grip seemed so calculated. She knew the paparazzi was snapping away at her and she knew the photo would make the rounds on the internet and that people would react to it. So yeah, I reacted to it. Medium: ink on paper, much thanks to Urban Rabbit and Krista. My sincere apologies to Picasso.

Ralph Lauren, the designer known for creating yawn-inducing clothing for middle class esteem seekers, has been under fire lately for the almost comical heavy-handed photoshopping of one of his models. To make matters worse, the model used in the ad has just been fired by Ralph Lauren for being too fat. Ralph Lauren claims Filippa Hamilton's size 8, 120lb body was too huge to fit into his clothes so he fired her. Since Ralphie Boy likes his women skeletal, he should consider replacing his models with a fleet of life-size skeleton models. They don't eat, don't complain, and best of all, they have wheels! This makes it easy for he and his stylists to push them around the lawns of country manors and yacht clubs for photo-shoots. By using life-size skeleton models, he'll never have a problem with fit nor will he waste time and money photoshopping his models to look skeletal. Problem solved.
